Our environmental packaging promise
The word ‘sustainable’ is abused and over-used these days. When we at The Box Business talk about ‘sustainability’, we mean preserving the environment we all share.
The way we work and the products we produce are all designed to leave as small a footprint as possible on this world.
We think of the way we work as ‘recycool’. Yes, it’s cool to recycle but it’s even cooler to use as few resources as possible in the first place. We walk that talk, right from our head office down to how we freight your orders to you.
We care
How could we not care? We have only one world and we all share it. We also share the responsibility of its protection. We take our part seriously, which is why The Box Business is dedicated to the following:
Minimising waste
- Actively use corrugated cardboard as sparingly as possible, including during the testing process.
- All paper/cardboard offcuts and leftovers from projects are recycled and collected by a dedicated recycling company.
- Our customers only have to order the number of boxes they need – so there’s no wastage.
- Our boxes are robust, so very often are reusable.
Increasing efficiency
- Always design to maximise display dimensions and minimise wastage, using materials as intelligently as possible.
- Use LED lighting and ensure all our electronics are as energy efficient as possible.
- Provide no personal rubbish bins to encourage our people to recycle and reduce waste.
- Create box solutions that can be packed into smaller items, reducing the freight footprint.
Recycool
- All the cardboard and paper stock we use is from certified sustainable sources.
- Our cardboard is always recyclable.
- Ensure the majority of our printed materials are kind to the environment, whether it’s 80gsm copier paper, or 5mm thick corrugated cardboard.
